People often fall into the "Trinity" mentality - the idea of tanks, healers, and damage-dealers, when in reality, all heroes are damage-dealers - some being "tankier" than others - and some happen to be heal-capable.Īlas, "Tanking" doesn't actually exist in the grand scope of the word. TLDR: Self-marking is mostly bad and tanking isn't really a thing in DD.īear in mind that 'tanking' and being 'tanky' are two different things in general. Incoming damage is heavily subjected to light level. Crusader also has a single use defense spell that raises light level by a whole torch level which is subjective for some but it means nerfing overall difficulty of the game with a skill on demand. Crusader can take a position on a movement team and then has a heal spell that can be cast from any position. Otherwise they miss a lot, but they dont have too.Ĭrusader ends up being a very flexible class that offers a direct heal spell which is actually helpful since they can be geared to make it as effective as a Ves single target heal spell. So Leper is really more of a lawn mower if you equip them with +ACC and/or maybe get some nice +ACC traits unlock the Leper lawnmower power of OMG they do the most damage of any class in the game to frontliners. There will be times where in normal fights a timely guard will save another hero's life though. Thing is that its a niche skill just for some fights where its really a great way to mitigate damage that can be really high amounts, like Vvulf Boss fight.Īlmost all the time there is always a better skill than guard. Guard is a nice skill for the MAA, HM, and even the Antiquarian can make some guard her. Even position 3 gets hit hard, in fact often more than the first two positions. The only position that I have found that does not get hammered hard is position number 4 on the very back position.
